I. Saudi Arabia Exhibition: Strategic Pivot Point for Technology Display and Market Expansion
As the most influential construction industry event in the Middle East, the Saudi Arabia International Concrete Show 2024 attracted 250 exhibitors and 18,000 professional visitors from 25 countries around the world. Relying on the unique advantages of spiral steel silo technology, Dazheng Steel Sheet Warehouse set up an independent exhibition area at the show, focusing on the whole process solution for the power plant project in Malaysia.
During the exhibition, Dazheng and a number of foreign companies and other energy giants reached a co-operation intention, plans to promote intelligent steel plate warehouse technology in the Middle East, to further deepen the market layout along the ‘Belt and Road’.
Second, a power station project
Project Background: A power plant in Malaysia is located in the equatorial monsoon zone, with annual rainfall exceeding 2,500 mm, and the high temperature and high humidity climate poses severe requirements for the storage of cement, fly ash and other materials. Dazheng customised 10 spiral steel plate silos, including 4 φ10m×H14m cement silos, 2 fly ash silos of the same specification and 2 φ10m×H8m water tanks, forming a multi-material intelligent storage system.
Technical Highlights
Super sealing and moisture-proof design
Adopting spiral crimping and nibbling process, the silo joints are reinforced with 5 layers of sealing tape and mechanical nibbling, and the air leakage rate is as low as 0.2%, which is 60% higher than that of the traditional welded silo. With built-in dehumidification and ventilation system, the water content of cement stored for 6 months is still lower than 0.5%, and the activity loss rate of fly ash is controlled within 3%, which far exceeds the industry standard.
High strength anti-corrosion structure
The silo body adopts double protection of hot-dip galvanised layer and epoxy polyester coating, with a coating thickness of 275g/m2, and the corrosion resistance against salt spray is upgraded to 1500 hours, which is suitable for the highly corrosive environment of tropical rainforests. The continuous concave-convex structure formed by spiral rolled edges makes the warehouse body wind-resistant up to grade 12, and the seismic intensity up to 8 degrees, which has successfully resisted the attack of many strong typhoons.
Modular and rapid construction
The on-site construction took only 28 days to complete the installation of all 10 silos, which is 50% shorter than the traditional concrete silos. The spiral silos were prefabricated in the factory and assembled on site, and the lifting error of a single silo was controlled within 2 mm, which ensured the efficient delivery of the power plant infrastructure schedule.

The display of a power plant project at the Saudi Arabia Exhibition triggered widespread attention from international engineering companies.
